Show Rules
- Competition is open to bantam & large chickens, bantam & large waterfowl, turkeys & guineas.
- Birds will be judged under the rules of the ABA and APA, whichever apply.
- All birds must be Pullorum Typhoid tested. State officials will be testing on Friday from 4:00 - 9:00 p.m. and Saturday from 6:00 - 8:30 a.m. Show test papers to state officials.
- All birds must be cooped in by 8:45 a.m. Saturday morning. Judging begins at 9:00 a.m. No birds will be allowed to coop in after judging has started.
- Entry fee is $2.50 per bird and $5.00 for double cooping. Make checks payable to CVPA.
- All entries must be paid regardless, even if the exhibitor does not show.
- CVPA reserves the right to substitute and/or add judges if necessary. All judge's decisions are final.
- Only judges and show officials will be permitted in the aisles during judging.
- CVPA will not be responsible for loss or accident to persons or their birds.
- Alcoholic beverages will not be permitted in the showroom or on the grounds. No smoking is allowed inside the show building.
- No adults will be allowed to coop or groom the junior's birds. If a junior needs help, CVPA members will be happy to assist them.
- Any bird(s) in the show or sales area that appear sick will be removed from the show grounds.
- Any matter that is not covered by show rules will be settled by Executive Council of the CVPA and all decisions are final.
- After birds have been cooped in, please close your coop tags, Coop tags must be closed before and during judging.
- The term cock, hen, cockeral, and pullet are defined as in the ABA and APA standard.
- Displays, as stated in the Bantam Standard, will be accepted and reported to the ABA, Trios are not accepted.

CVPA members will be selling tickets at shows we attend and at our show until the time of the drawing. Drawing will be held on Saturday, February 19 after the judging of Championship Row. The winner does not have to be present, however there is no shipping option. The winner, if not present at time of drawing, will be notified and can make arrangements to meet a CVPA member at a show to pick up the prize. The tickets are $5.00 each. CVPA members will have a photo of the cabinet incubator while selling tickets. The incubator will be on display at our show on February 18-19, 2011. Please help our club by participating in this fundraiser.
50/50 Raffle
Tickets will be sold at $1.00 per ticket or 6 tickets for $5.00. A single ticket will be drawn and the winner will take half of the money collected.
Swap Meet / Silent Auction
Spaces for the Swap Meet will be $10.00 each and will be on a "first come, first served" basis. No limit on the size of space, however, we ask that you be considerate. See the Event Schedule for hours each day.The CVPA will conduct a live bird silent auction on Saturday, February 18, 2012. Anyone wishing to donate birds or other related items should deliver them to CVPA members Mike Brown or Mack McBurnett in the Silent Auction/Sales Area. The CVPA will also provide cages to rent at $1.00 per hole to sell your birds. There is a limit of 4 birds per hole.
Basket Drawing
As you make any purchase(s) in Georgia, ask for a receipt. Write your name on the receipt(s) for a drawing for a large basket filled with goodies donated from local businesses worth $50.00 or more. Receipts should have the name of the business and an address printed on them.
Cash Prize Drawing
Sunday morning a drawing will be held at an announced time and place for the open and junior exhibitors. A cash prize of $100.00 will be awarded to an Open Show participant and $50.00 to a Junior Show participant. The winners MUST be present at the place and time of the drawing for the cash prize to be awarded.
